There are stories and there are secrets. Most of us live in the secrets of our lives. Perhaps it’s been too difficult to expose what went wrong. Maybe we thought it best not disclose for fear of being judged. Of course, no one judges us more than we judge ourselves when our mistakes continue to haunt our lives. Nonetheless, we hide and pretend to have forgotten, but we never do. We carry the secrets until we can finally release them from our souls. Then, and only then, can we become the Somebody we were destined to become.

An extraordinary book about the journey of a mother's love for her son, and a son's love for his mother. "A small book with a big message. Hilda and Ron's current book clearly exemplifies their innate ability and talent to express the human experience. While the context and story is very personal to Hilda and son Ron, it would be difficult for anyone reading it to not connect in some capacity. The diversified approach to expression of their relationship reality comfortably carries the reader through their individual and collective life's journey. |
What a touching tribute to moms and sons everywhere. It eloquently speaks to the unending bond and love shared between mother and son. I have a son and this short read got me at my core. This book leaves you wanting more and thanking God he chose me to be the mother of a son. Poignant...personal...and perfect! |
